Employment-Related
The Employment-Related Financial Supports (ERFS) program provides targeted financial assistance through Employment Ontario (EO) to help reduce employment-related costs. These supports are available to both job seekers and employers, depending on their specific needs and eligibility.
For job seekers, ERFS funding can help cover costs associated with your job search or preparing for employment. This may include items such as work-appropriate clothing, public transit fare, or child care expenses. Once you’re registered with our Employment Ontario Centre, we’ll work with you to determine if you qualify for these supports. Eligibility and funding amounts are assessed case-by-case based on your job search needs and circumstances.
For employers, you may be eligible for financial incentives when hiring individuals who face multiple barriers to employment. These supports can help offset additional training or onboarding costs required to successfully integrate a new hire into the workplace. Eligibility depends on the specific hiring situation, the needs of the individual being hired, and available program funding. Our Job Developers can review your hiring plan and advise if support applies to your next recruitment.
ERFS funding is governed by specific guidelines and limited budgets. While it’s a valuable tool to support job seekers and inclusive hiring, not every individual or situation will qualify. Our team will work closely with you to assess your needs and determine whether this support may be available.
Connect with our Employment Ontario Centre to discuss your situation. We’ll confirm eligibility and guide you through next steps.
